A Charming Place to Live/ A Safe Place to Learn

Fulford Preparatory College is located in the town of Merrickville, Ontario, known for its natural beauty, quaint shops, and historical preservation. During specified break times, students will be able to enjoy all that Merrickville has to offer: restaurants and bistros, charming shops, art galleries, an ice cream shop, a candy store, and the local spa. Merrickville also offers plenty of activities in which the students may be interested such as: sporting facilities, several nature trails, cafés, fishing and boating, canoeing and kayaking, hiking and walking, an outdoor skating rink, and a community centre.

Merrickville is a prime location, close to towns such as Smiths Falls and Kemptville, as well as larger cities such as Kingston and Ottawa.

Back to Student Life

Renowned for being one of Canada’s strongest “hockey towns”, Kingston provides a truly Canadian experience. Visitors may wish to attend an Ontario Hockey League game and watch the local team, the Kingston Frontenacs, play against one of their rival teams, or perhaps enjoy the annual film festival which showcases the best that Canadian films have to offer. Kingston also provides several museums, art galleries, and outdoor activities for visitors to enjoy.

As the capital city of Canada, Ottawa is a town that offers plenty of enjoyment to visitors. Individuals may wish to take part in the annual Winterlude Festival, Jazz Festival, Bluesfest, Tulip Festival, the spectacular celebrations on Canada Day (July 1 - our national holiday celebrating the creation of our nation), or perhaps even skate on the world’s longest skating rink, the Rideau Canal. There are also several museums and art galleries in Ottawa that showcase our country’s history and artistic talent, respectively.
